People always talk about industry prototype, but they are not very clear about the process. Below are some normal steps in industry prototype machining:
1.Provide drawings: The customer need to provide 3D drawings in STP, PRT and other commonly used format, as well as requirements of industry prototype.
2.Business negotiations: Negotiate with the customer, and provide quotes, delivery time, delivery methods, till confirmed by the customer.
3., The programming: The programmer analysis the 3D drawings, and write the program of CNC machining center.
4. CNC machining: Let CNC machining equipment work in accordance with the procedures set the path. Get the excess parts of the material removed, to get the industry prototype of the product.
5.Polishing: The product which machined by CNC, its surface may have a lot of knife marks and burrs. Then it need sandpaper for polishing.
6.Painting: Paint the corresponding color according to the color requirements or Pantone number which provided by the customer.
7.Screen Printing: Print the text and graphics in the surface of the industry prototype.
8. Quality testing: After the rapid industry prototype passed the test of QC department, then it can be shipped.
