To get precision machined components, the position tolerance must be controlled in the CNC machining.

The position tolerance is the variation degree or deviation of the mutual position of the actual surface, axis or symmetry plane of the part after machining, such as verticality, positionality, symmetry, and so on.

The position tolerance of precision machined components is usually refers to the dead zone tolerance. The main reason of position tolerance happen is that when the CNC machined components was processing,  it will bring the transmission gap and elastic deformation.

Besides, during the processing, the machine tool head need to overcome the friction and other factors which will lead to a position tolerance. In the open-loop system, the accuracy of the position is greatly affected, and in the closed-loop follow-up system, it mainly depends on the accuracy of the displacement detection device and the system speed amplification factor, which the general impact is small.
